Christina Thurner has been appointed to the Loxxess Board of Directors

After many years in management, Christina Thurner has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors, with equal rights, alongside her brother Dr Claus-Peter Amberger. In her new position, she will also become responsible for the “Projects” and “IT” divisions as well as the company’s facilities in eastern and northern Germany. With this measure, the logistics service provider is taking into account the positive development and growth seen during recent years.

Fulfillment: Loxxess will be expanding its capacities

Loxxess, the logistics and fulfillment service provider, is to further expand its fulfillment capacities by expanding its Aurach site with an additional 6,000 m2 of logistics space. This expansion will enable Loxxess to provide temperature-controlled storage zones, which is Loxxess’ response to the increasing demands from the food and beverage sectors. Construction will start in autumn 2021 and completion is planned for the start of 2022.

Hazardous material logistics: Loxxess is preparing for increased demands

As part of the challenges arising from the coronavirus pandemic and the relocation of system-relevant production processes within the hygiene, medical and pharmaceutical product sectors, Loxxess, the logistics and fulfillment service provider, is preparing for a surge in the demand for hazardous material logistics. Loxxess donates to “Kindness for Kids”

Loxxess AG makes a donation to a charitable organization every year at Christmas. This year, our donation of 10,000 euros has been given to the “Kindness for Kids” foundation, which is based in Starnberg. The foundation is committed to helping children with rare diseases and their families. Supporting scientific research projects that study rare diseases is also part of the foundation’s activities.

Loxxess has been awarded the 2020 European Logistics Award

After becoming a finalist in the 2019 German Logistics award, Loxxess AG has now won this year’s European Logistics Award, which is awarded by the European Logistics Association (ELA). The main focus of the Loxxess application was our “SMILE” logistics concept, which Loxxess has developed as a sustainable solution for successfully overcoming the logistical challenges associated with e-commerce. The award ceremony was held on November 10, 2020 as part of a digital conference.

Loxxess is Expanding Logistics for Vodafone

Since 2011, Loxxess has been handling logistical processes for Vodafone Germany’s cable division for 13 federal states. The contract for these logistics services has now been extended by four years and also expanded to include the Vodafone cable division in the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg. The background for this is Vodafone’s takeover of the former company Unitymedia.
