Burton and contract logistics provider LOXXESS extend cooperation

Burton, the American company for snowboard and outdoor lifestyle products, has extended its decades-long collaboration with contract logistics provider LOXXESS. “The LOXXESS team has always responded very flexibly to our new products and new requirements over almost a quarter of a century. We are very well coordinated and our customers have always received their orders quickly and reliably. Storage, packaging, shipping and returns – everything runs smoothly and we want to keep it that way. That’s why we have further expanded our cooperation,” says Johann Trojer, Senior Manager Logistics Europe at Burton.
All of Burton’s European B2C and B2B orders come together at LOXXESS. The contract logistics provider is responsible for the complete end-to-end logistics and thus contributes to Burton’s customer satisfaction. Since the start of the partnership, around three million parcels have been shipped from a LOXXESS location.
In order to become more efficient and sustainable, Burton is now relying solely on the LOXXESS site in Bor, Czech Republic. Previously, orders were processed in Aurach in Franconia. “We already supply many other major customers via our location in Bor. Burton is a good fit and we are delighted to welcome another long-standing partner here,” says Lars Gutermuth, member of the LOXXESS management team.
The relocation of Burton in Aurach near Nuremberg will free up capacity for e-commerce retailers. The LOXXESS experts can quickly activate goods, processes and IT in the recently modernized location. Shopify already offers a direct connection between online stores and LOXXESS logistics services via an app. This means that start-ups and fast-growing online retailers can also professionalize their logistics immediately.
