Together for a good cause – “Logistics on the move” collects over 125,000 kilometers

For six years in a row, the “Logistics on the Move” initiative has shown that exercise can achieve more than just fitness. Between July and September 2025, logistics-related companies from all over Germany collected over 125,000 kilometers by running, cycling, hiking, skating or swimming – and a considerable donation of 54,850 euros for the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation.

As in the previous year, the donation check was handed over together with all participating companies at the BVL Supply Chain CX in Berlin. Kuno Neumeier, initiator of “Logistics on the Move” and CEO of Logivest, together with Bora Argac, CCO Germany of Hellmann Logistics and partner from the very beginning, presented the cheque to Karin Neumeier, Chairwoman of the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation, on behalf of all participants.

The foundation supports young people up to the age of 49 across the country after the death of their partner, as well as children, teenagers and young adults who are mourning the loss of one or both parents. Andy Eder, professional ice hockey player at Eisbären Berlin, Eisbären Managing Director Thomas Bothstede and Karin Neumeier talked to Sky presenter Michael Leopold about the importance of this work and how to deal with such a stroke of fate. At the beginning of the year, Tobias Eder, Andy’s brother and also a professional at Eisbären Berlin, died after a serious illness.

Karin Neumeier was deeply impressed by the solidarity and commitment of the logistics companies: “We are very touched to see how the industry has once again stood up for us and the bereaved this year – despite the challenging economic situation! On behalf of the entire foundation, our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who has shown so much commitment and compassion.”

“In times of economic uncertainty, it is all the more important to show humanity and stick together. I am very proud that our industry has shown such great commitment again this year and is actively supporting the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation,” says Kuno Neumeier.

In the “Logistics on the Move” initiative, employees of logistics-related companies from all over Germany collected kilometers – regardless of which sport they practiced. Every kilometer covered contributed to a good cause. The companies themselves decided how much they wanted to donate per kilometer. The participants recorded their sporting activities with photos from pedometers or fitness apps – and provided additional motivation and team spirit on social media under the hashtag #LogistikinBewegung.

In 2025, the following companies took part in the campaign, moved for a good cause and/or donated: Four Parx, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Loxxess AG, Mainblick, P3 Logistic Parks, TST, Logivisor and Logivest GmbH.
