LOXXESS AG, the medium-sized logistics company headquartered in Tegernsee and specializing in complex logistics and value-added services, is expanding its management team. Cornelius Blanke will be responsible for IT from July 1, 2024. He will take over from Marcel Breusch, a member of the Executive Board, who will focus on Operational Excellence in the future.

The 58-year-old has more than 25 years of IT and management experience. Before joining LOXXESS, he held various positions at the international logistics service provider Schenker AG, most recently as Head of Demand and Portfolio Management. Here he was responsible for global budget planning and financial management, IT controlling, supplier management, governance and agile transformation as well as demand management and resource planning for the IT of the Group’s contract logistics division.

Before joining DB Schenker, Blanke worked as an IT project manager at Deutsche Post, driving forward several strategic initiatives in the areas of eCommerce, eFullfilment and information security. Earlier positions took him to the contract logistics service provider DHL Supply Chain and Rhenus Logistics. There he planned and designed IT solutions along the entire supply chain for various industries and countries.

“I am looking forward to my new role at LOXXESS and am grateful for the trust placed in me. I am motivated to actively help shape the company’s course in this exciting phase. As a medium-sized company with fast decision-making processes, it has the ideal conditions for this,” says Cornelius Blanke.

Born in Jülich, he completed additional training as an IT specialist in application development after studying humanities. In his free time, the married father of two does voluntary work in various clubs. He also enjoys hiking, reading and swimming.

“High-performance and efficient IT is a crucial building block for us to be well positioned for the future. Cornelius Blanke has exactly the right experience and skills for this. We are very much looking forward to him and his team further advancing LOXXESS’ IT expertise,” explains Ingo Brauckmann, CEO of LOXXESS AG. “We would like to express our sincere thanks to Marcel Breusch, who as an IT and operations expert has continuously driven the IT department forward. The fact that he will now focus his expertise on continuously improving the processes and procedures at LOXXESS and making them even more efficient is a great asset for us.”
