The contract logistics provider LOXXESS will take over the logistics for Germany’s third-largest home shopping channel CHANNEL21 from 2026. The latter was impressed in every respect by the highly automated LOXXESS site in Aurach near Nuremberg, which specializes in e-commerce. “A mutual partner drew our attention to LOXXESS. We then visited the site in Aurach, got to know the team there and were immediately impressed because we saw the high quality and professional implementation that we expect from our partners and want to offer our customers,” says Patrick Behrmann, responsible for logistics at CHANNEL21. CHANNEL21 markets and distributes a full range of products with a wide selection of goods from nutritional supplements, beauty and food to household goods and electronics via specially designed home shopping shipments and its own online store. LOXXESS quickly understood the TV station’s complex logistics processes and developed a concept that covers all of CHANNEL21’s requirements. For example, the editorial schedule of CHANNEL21’s TV shows is transferred to logistics in order to be able to handle the volatile delivery volume as quickly and flexibly as possible. “From the very first meeting, we realized that we tick similarly and that there is a special connection between LOXXESS and CHANNEL21. Our corporate cultures are similar, so it was relatively easy for us to develop a viable concept,” said Kerstin Kunze, member of the LOXXESS management team. Incidentally, both CEOs, Timm Horrmann from CHANNEL21 and Ingo Brauckmann from LOXXESS, attended the signing of the contract, which also illustrates the great confidence of both companies.
At the Aurach site, LOXXESS not only stores the products, but also picks and ships B2C orders, including returns processing and returns preparation. The level of automation is tailored to CHANNEL21’s requirements and the processing of returns contributes to sustainability, which is important to both partners.
“We are already expecting more than one million orders per year at the start of the collaboration and are prepared for growth,” said Ingo Brauckmann, CEO at LOXXESS. The high volume can be further scaled at the Aurach site and at other LOXXESS locations. This flexibility also convinced CHANNEL21.
